WHO WE ARE

The Richmond Coalition of Police, serving as the police union for the City of Richmond, is committed to representing the interests of local law enforcement officers. The coalition aims to promote professional standards, ensure fair treatment for its members, and enhance community safety. Their mission centers around fostering a collaborative environment between the police force and the community, emphasizing accountability, transparency, and mutual respect.

We've decided to update the principles in which we believe the Union should exemplify – DUTY, TRUTH, and HONOR

DUTY is first because your Union has both a moral and legal obligation to represent all of its members in good faith and without discrimination. Your Union has a duty to be TRUTHFUL and to act fairly and impartially when pursuing a worker’s grievance or when negotiating a new contract. Your representation will be genuine and undertaken with knowledge, integrity, and competence. Because of its members contributions to overall growth and general prosperity, your Union will be HONORABLE. We will see to it that the treatment of all parties is done with equal respect for their dignity and autonomy. Your Union’s governance of these cardinal principles applies to virtually every action we may take as your representative when dealing with our employer to ensure a respectful, productive, and beneficial relationship with the City of Richmond.
